Reformer classes

Coast Pilates is a boutique studio with 6 Pilates reformers that are easily adjusted to suit your body & ability.

We currently have 7 different types of reformer classes so check the descriptions below before you book.

We honour the original Pilates method & incorporate contemporary variations to suit our modern way of life. Class content is always varied to keep things interesting & your brain active!

Energetic Flow

Our most popular class designed to move the body in all the ways it can in a fun and supportive environment!

We design our classes to create a reformer flow that builds in intensity, keeps you learning & gives your body & mind an all over workout.

​

Advanced

A high energy fun class where we explore the advanced side of the original reformer repertoire & modern moves. 

​

​Expect a challenging class that will include back bends, headstands & balance work..

​

​

Jumpboard

Jump around in this class to get your body moving & exercise your cardiovascular system.

​

Bring water & a sweat towel for this one & get ready to move! 

​

​

Stretch & Strengthen

A gentler class, we meet your body where it's at & work on building strength & flexibility.​

​

Suitable for beginners & those wanting to move at a more considered pace. 

Take the time to connect body and mind.

Tower 

The Tower is an apparatus that is attached to one end of the reformer with an insert to create a flat bed. It has springs to create resistance that can be attached to bars, straps & handles.

​

Exercises are done in many different ways and just like reformer class, the moves flow seamlessly together for an all body workout.

Silver Belles

This class is a half hour session for our ladies in the late 70's / 80's age group.

 

Expect gentle functional moves with plenty of chat, movie reviews & the best spots for a Martini!

Circuit

Circuit is our most varied Pilates class as it includes the reformer, tower, mat, jumpboard & the Pilates chair.

Follow a circuit around the equipment in a format specifically designed to give you body a bit of everything it loves!

A new program drops every 8 weeks so you have time to learn the exercises & complete the circuit.

Personal sessions & Duos

Wanting a personal session that is tailor made to your body?

We offer full 50 minute sessions or shorter 30 minute sessions if that fits better for your schedule.

In your personal sessions we work together on your goals with varying exercises & equipment to keep progressing forward. We willuse the reformer, tower, Pilates chair & various props throughout your session.

Prefer to move with a friend or partner? 

Duo sessions are perfect for exercising with your number one & include moves you do together & also your own body specific exercises so you both get what you need out of the session. 

Duos are 50 minute sessions.
